It must be getting quite annoying me posting shit about how my bike doesnt work all the time haha.
i sort of had a break through. After weeks of problems cleaning carbs and all that stuff, i ran the bike today for like 10 mins up my road with out the air filter in and it ran bloody perfect no flat spot no idle trouble it was spot on. I dont know if my current air filter is fucked cause my dad said to just get another standard one but i would have thought it would give me the same problems as before, would anyone recommend getting a sport K and N air filter or modifying it so its more free flowing?
cheers tom
Fzr 400 help please.

Personally I'd keep it standard until you've nailed the issues. No point trying to modify the setup if it's not running right in the first place.

K+N don't make a direct replacement filter ... but you can use the K+N 1WG / FZR600 one and squash the top of it down. It doesn't add anything over the standard but you'll be able to take it out and clean it once in ta while.
Either way replacing the air filter is always a good move.
