Re: Boris, your advise please sir.
Not easily.
The 3TJ has mounts on the engine head and by what I've been told I'm not sure about the spockets lining up ... but £50 !!!!
Ok it looks rough but it hasn't been cleaned before the sale. The engine hasn't be turned over - but that might not be so bad, it means you can get some oil down the barrels before trying to turn it by hand.
Service it, new tyres new chain + sprockets, new battery and see what happens ????

Re: Boris, your advise please sir.
bugger, well I might take the engine out & see whats wrong with it & poss use parts from my good engine to get it going. its poss going to be used on track & it cost a ton not 50
wish I had used the 3en2 & built that up instead of stripping it but I didnt know at the time I,d need a track bike.
I also need downpipes on the 2tk now as its developed a leak when I tightened the manifold up
thanks again Boris

The 3en pipes will fit the 2TK ... In fact the 3en pipes have 2tk as their part number if that will help.
Can't believe you paid a ton for it .... And I thought you were northern !!!! Did they say the 3TJ wouldn't run ???

Re: Boris, your advise please sir.
Unless someone has changed the tail unit, thats a UK model. Check the frame and engine numbers, if its starts with 4DX then you've got a UK version.
Personally i'd strip it and sell the parts, you'll get plenty for the bits especially if the top fairing is in ok condition. Also, if its a UK model, the CDI will be the unrestricted one which will be snapped up at a good price!
