Embarking on a 3TJ/4JH build using a full doner 4JH and just the frame of the 3TJ. I'll put up a build thread later, but I've hit a couple of problems.
Ok, so firstly I need adaptor plates, I cant find any for sale (PM if you have some/know where to get them) How thick should they be, and I'm assuming high tensile steel for the material.
Secondly, the frame I have looks like it's missing some kind of bracket for the rear top mount, theres just a 10 mil hole through the left side of the frame, which doesnt line up with another, but does line up with the mount when the engine is offered into it, I'm assuming it needs some kind of bracket which bolts to the two small bolt holes on the right, plus a longer bolt and some spacers. Firstly does anyone have these going spare, and if not, could anyone get a picture of the bits I need, or a decent microfiche link for the 3TJ (I found a grainy spanish one but it's not fantastic) It'd make it a lot easier to specify the bits I need to a breaker
Cheers, Tristan.

Re: Hybrid build questions
Hi Tristan,
You are correct, the top rear mount bolts to the frame via the 2 holes you can see, it also has a spacer built in for the engine to line up. i think i have one in the garage with my spare frame which i'm sure you can have.
In case you need some, i also have 3tj forks (need seals) which i'm pretty certain you can use the 600 wheel, spacers & spindle to make fit, brake calipers, triple clamps, shock mount, subframe, tank, etc etc. give me a shout with the bits you need and i'll let you know if i've got them. i'm looking to clear some stuff out my garage as i've got another bike arriving soon so i'd be pretty happy to see the back of some of it.

Re: Hybrid build questions
There should be 6mm difference between the frame and engine at the top mounts. use something like cardboard to mark the bolt holes from the engine and frame.
You need to use countersunk bolts into the engine ... the thread is harder to find but Pro-bolt can supply them ... only in titainium though.

You might want to have Google translate it. Look in the section "Motorcycles 1986-1992" and look for the FZR400RR
