1WG Front Discs
Can someone please confirm if the 1WG front brake discs are 282mm dia & are either flat or offset.

yes they're 285 mm but could tell you the offset

They are offset, i think its 105mm.

Only the '87 FZR400's have flat disks.

Yup, the '86 you see in that post was also made in '87, was the mass produced model. The '87 FZR400RSP pictured there was only made as a limited edition.
The model years vary per country. That site is based on the Japanese introduction years. For euro-models the models didnt apear until (usually) a year later. Therefore it is very rare to find an euro '86 FZR400 that wasnt imported from Japan. The Americans never got further than the 1WG which was imported till '89 i think.
But anyway, the '86/'87 models have flatdisks.
