Why the difference?
The US fzr(400 & 600) all use the same fork tube 1988-1996 except one, the 1992 fzr600RDC.
Would anyone know how the 1992 fzr600RDC fork tube is different?

Re: Why the difference?
Maybe it's a FZR600R DC .... it's a foxeye 600 with the 4JH engine. Those tubes are 41mm whereas the other 600 uses 38mm

Found a pic of the rdc. The RD has the 38mm forks and the "c" is the California modelEvilchicken0 wrote:Maybe it's a FZR600R DC .... it's a foxeye 600 with the 4JH engine. Those tubes are 41mm whereas the other 600 uses 38mm

Re: Why the difference?
up :)
so the 600 fzr and 400 fzr forks are the same?
the 600 fzr upper T can fit the 400 fzr fork?
because LSL does a nice superbike kit for the 600 FZR, and if it could fit the 400, i'd have the weapon for twisties

Re: Why the difference?
Forks come in 2 sizes 38mm or 41mm. £8 is generally the FZR600 and up to and including the 3en1. 3en2 and FZR600R (thunder cat and Fazer 600 are 41
3TJ's are 43mm
I think LSL will make clip-ons for all 3

Re: Why the difference?
No, FZR400 1WG 3EN1 forks are 38mm, but they take a smaller 282mm disc so the calipers sit lower down the leg. 1WG 3EN1 forks are 41mm and take a 298/300mm disc so they will fit the FZR600R 4JH but you'll probably need the wheel and spindle too as (I think) the 3EN2 uses a 15mm spindle whereas the 600R uses a 17mm one.. FZR400 3TJ forks are 43mm and take a 298/300mm disc but the caliper bolt spacing is 83mm... None are interchangeable without other parts as well, except the 600R and 3TJ front wheels.tom4 wrote:up :)

As for the top yokes being the same, it's a case of buying one cheap and seeing if it fits...

Re: Why the difference?
Guy, please don't get confused. FORK TUBES, not the whole fork assembly are the same except on all US 400 and 600 except the 1992 FZR600RDC.buzzawak wrote:The US fzr(400 & 600) all use the same fork tube 1988-1996 except one, the 1992 fzr600RDC.

Re: Why the difference?
No, the stanchions are all 38mm but differ in length between the 400 & 600. The fork tubes or outer tube or the bottom bits !!Kayla850 wrote:Stanchionsbuzzawak wrote:FORK TUBES
