Never been to Netherlands. Spoke to the UK agents today electrexworld who confirmed what Carmo the Dutch company said. They offer inspection and repair service at £125 - £150 plus vat and £7.50 postage. They send them to Carmo for repairs and it's abt 2 to 3 week turn around. She said they or hpi ignition, the Belgian company don't do new ones but if you check websites out they do quite a lot of other ones at not bad price. Hope this all makes sense any questions just ask I'm an expert in these companies now ;) m

Cannot see the point in paying £150 to repair a £50 unit; but that is probably just me.

Here is a link to posting pics.

That one on ebay went for 100 quid! Jesus!

I hobestly think the only benefit of the 4dx cdi over the 3tj one is the lack of electrical speed restriction. They both seemed to perform the same on the dyno on my 3tj. I'll have some better data soon though to confirm!

Yes - the only difference between the 4DX / 3TJ cdis are the speed restriction.
But to get around the speed restriction you need a speedo converter or an M-Max which are about £30 ... but you need to find them.

I just think they command such a high price because people "think" that they will unleash more power. Where in reality all you need to do is take the clocks apart and trim the speedo tab so it restricts at like 230kph instead of 180kph. Job done and costs nothing.

The BIN one also appears sold; last year these were making £45 ish.
Can you use the blue converter on the Tj; if not ; gold converters are making £50 on the bay.Blue much cheaper though.

M-max boxes are very thin on the ground now !

Don in Canada is looking more and more feasible at $100 Canadian for a repair.

I for one would like to see a concise write up of which you speak;
others have promised but never did !
