I got a chance to get in the garage last night & check out the brake lever & mount. There is no way of adjusting it so that it won't either hit the clocks or the clock bracket.
Ah yes there's a trick to this.
slacken off the throttle twist grip and move the master cylinder up the bar a bit. Angle the lever down and see if it makes a difference, I also cut the sun visor to the idot lights. If you can get it sorted then tighten up the throttle angain. I now foung the throttle was fouled by the bar end rubbing on it, so packed the bar end out with a Ford OHV engine sump washer of all things. The sump washer is 22mm external dia and made of rigid plastic so you can enlarge the internal dia to suit the bar end.
The radial lever has the adjuster sticking out the front and it's that which just touches now but only slightly

Well, finally the bike is pretty much ready for an MOT, i'm still waiting for the DVLA to send me the logbook back so it is now pending that.

This bike has always been small for me but as a trackbike it didn't matter. For the road it is borderline whether i can fit on it. I could swap out the rearsets for the standard pegs and i'm thinking about recovering the seat and adding some foam both would add an extra few mm. The ohlins also has a ride height adjuster, so i could add 20mm to that to bring the whole back end up. The idea i have is getting a new subframe made to raise the whole back of the bike slightly. I don't want to change the shape but if you look at the top picture, if i could get the seat unit to run in line with the top off the tank i think it would be enough.

Does anyone know of a company that could engineer such a thing? Hopefully in the South East.

I'd just pad the seat up and fit standard rearsets ... see how it goes from there

alternatively drop the standard rearsets a couple of cm.

a rectangular plate bolted to the existing mounts and then re-drilled for a lower mounting position should be a fairly simple way to achieve it. This would keep the outline of the bike totally standard.

I feel your pain as I'm 5'10" but I found carefull adjustment of the rear brake lever and gear change lever both allowed me to adopt a more comfortable riding position which I've got used to now.

cheers guys, will suck it and see. I've got in contact with a guy who used to repair my trials bike when i threw it at the trees. He should be able to fabricate a subframe if i need it. However it's still sitting in the garage waiting for the DVLA to send back the logbook.

Hopefully it'll turn up soon & then i can get out and ride it to see how much room i need to find.

Well another week goes by and still no logbook. Its given me a chance to sit and contemplate what to do about gaining the extra space for longer rides.

Buy a bigger bike

I seem to have reached a point recently where i've realised that i am not the biggest fan of modern day stuff, sold a fireblade back in June last year as it didn't really appeal. Now i've got, i think, the best of both worlds.
