Re: hybrid rebuild starts again!! plus some pics
got the hybrid running tonight
,so i must have wired everything back together in the right order.got the back wheel in,sorted the choke mount, put on carbs, airbox and radiator and chucked in some tap water(ill empty the system in a couple of days to flush any crap out and put in some coolant).put the throttle cable on and chucked on an old tank and seat unit and put an old pipe on to keep the neighbors happy, and after a few prods she fired up sweet as a nut.i lubed all the cables and pivot points and everything feels like new.

in some old clothes so she can be started up!!!
ive still got to fit the new brake pads, new chain, fit the screen brace, right side rearsets, wire in rear brake light pressure switch, and a 101 other things that i cant remember.today was a real highpoint as it seemed id never get to hear it run again(i havnt ridden for nearly 3 months ) but now i can look forward to riding it soon!!

What front calipers are you using, look like GSXR tokico's. Where did you get the mounts?

Re: hybrid rebuild starts again!! plus some pics
the calipers are gsxr600k3 tokcicos.the hangers are from nk racing.the hangers are for 350 powervalves to be able to convert to gsxr calipers.the 3tj calipers are a known upgrade for the powervalve so i figured that the adapters would fit the 3tj-and they do! there is a thread about the conversion somewhere as im not too sure about which model powervalve the hangers are meant for (im old and forgetfull).the hangers cost 60 quid from nk racing and are very nicely made-but i would reccomend painting/powdercoating them as the finish is a bit weak(though to be fair they only looked really shite after 2 winters)
