Tjs handle well and they use 17" wheels so you could get away with greasing up the linkages, shove a pair of 'corsas on and ride it.
At the back end though the shocks are a bit old and there's the R6 shock that go in with the extension, or of course you can use a new one. My black bike has an EMC, its a nice shock and adjustable for everything, I added a few mm ride height, you can change the dogbones if your shock isnt adjustable.
Swimgarms usually stay, the wheel is a 4.5 and takes a 160 tyre. It's a 400 so really the tyre is a bit big but the narrow wheel pinches it to about 15. You could use the TRX type arm with the 5" wheel but theyre not as pretty. Anything else could be longer slowing down the handling.
Front end .. SP forks are nice they bolt into everything and give you adjustability and a much nicerer feel. If your bike is for the track you can drop in R6 right way up front end, the forks are longer and will foul the mirror brace. Not sure about the wheel though. You could also build something like ThunderAce forks into the front end too.
You can use R6 or R1 usd front ends but you'll need the whole lot which is going to be around £500 plus ... youll need a speedo driven wheel or a 4dx cdi ...
