Re: Restricted FCR carbs????
No the actual outer body is shaped like that so cutting it out will leave a big hole. Ive had confirmation that yamaha did this so they work well with the stock airbox so im now happy to fit them but im now on the lookout for some full bore stubs, bell mouths and kit needles

Speak to bdk and see what they say. They will know more about it than anyone else.

Lets say if I wanted any work done to them again it woukd probably be quicker to search the corners of globe and seek out some mythical leprechauns to do it instead.
I never got the 1wg airbox rubbers as I found a place stocking 3tj rubbers albeit at an inflated price but I needed them so went for it, that was weeks ago and I have no rubbers, no response from the company and £80 lighter in my pocket. OEMmotorparts do not use them!!!!!
This bike better be bloody good when I get round to riding it as ive had nothing but trouble getting parts for it, my honda's never gave me this much grief!

Re: Restricted FCR carbs????
Arrgh; I saw your post regarding them, didn't know it was for the rubbers.
I think you must always be wary of a company selling lots of NLA stock when the rest of the world states; not obtainable.
There is quite a bit negative feedback aboot them on other forums; especially the Dutch ones.
He is a one man band trans shipper.
Do you still require work doing on the flatslides ?

Re: Restricted FCR carbs????
Yea its my own fault i guess, i was in a rush and didnt think to check them out. I also hadnt realised then just how unobtainable the 3TJ rubbers are.
Im going to strip the FCR's later today hopefully but i dont think there any further work to be done, i need float bowl gaskets which moriwaki man is sorting for me and im also going to get him to source the race kit for the carbs so i can run them as they should be run with a full system.

Re: Restricted FCR carbs????
I was on the point of ordering some bits for one of the Fzr1000R's from them ;until I saw your post, so
I wouldn't feel too bad about it.
They seem to have just appeared on the scene.
I will try to hunt down the link from a bloke who is local to them.
He may be able to aid in recovery of funds.
I think you will get refunded eventually; the seller just seems incompetent;not criminal.

Look at the right hand one in the pic and you can see that the neck is made narrow as part of the mould
