I've just got the 3TJ out for a track day at Silverstone and the carbs have clagged up over winter. I've claraned and blown through but #2 is still buggered.
Has anyone used ultasonic cleaners before & what are they like?

They're absolutely brilliant. My dad did a set of carbs only with water and a little Fairy Liquid and they came out great.
Bought a 25 litre container of solution and it promptly packed up the next time it was used
They're not cheap for the size which you can put all four carbs in without dismantling them but people have bought the smaller ones which are reasonably priced, and put the single carbs in one at a time. You'll probably start putting everything into it if you get it lol

I bought a small one and some cleaning fluid (it's suposed to be for jewelry). Take each carb apart and put the bits in the tank. Your probably looking at the emulsion tube holes being a bit gummed up.
Put a bit of cleaner addative in the fuel for your first tank.

Nice one chaps, I was looking at getting one for the GSXR carbs then the FZR started playing up so it'sa done deal now! It would cost me about £80 if I sent them off somewhere to be done so it will pay for itself after two sets of carbs have been cleaned.
I think I will get one thats about 300mm wide then I can get two carbs in at a time. What kind of fluid should I use and will it be safe on the O rings?

Not sure if this is just coincidece or not.
