What sprockets do i need for my 3en2 hybrid

Post by EZMOTO » Thu Dec 16, 2010 3:20 pm

hey guys, i'm running stock 400 gearing and chain on my fzr 400/600 but want to upgrade as i noticed with the more power my chain is stretching alot more and needs constant adjustment after each ride

my question is will fzr 600 rear sprockets fit my 3en2 rear wheel? as i cant find any suppliers for alloy sprockets for the fzr400 in the uk,

also what gearing and pitch is recommended for my setup for track days cadwell mainly

You can get a 520 conversion from B+C Express then try lowering the front by a tooth .... that should lively you up a bit.

personally I wouldn't bother with alloy sprockets for road riding. The weight saving is far outweighed by the longevity, or lack of.

JT sprockets with a DID X-ring chain will last an age :peace:

Yes - I think !!!
The 600 wheels will fit the 400 with the 600's brake carrier so I assume the sproket carrier is the same

Check the JT sprockets website for sprocket fitment. They have drawings and dimensions of the sprockets, so you can be sure of the right fitment.

High quality chain is the key. On my last FZR1000 I had a DID 50VM x-ring chain and it never even needed adjusting.
