Hi guys,
First off Merry Christmas to everyone I have communicated with in this forum. I don't think I would have persevered with the FZR if it wasn't for the help and advice offered here.
OK not back to work, doing the r6 caliper and clip-on swap at the moment and have decided to strip and paint the stay (Just in case it’s know by another name) That’s the bit that holds the gauges, headlights and front cowling to the bike. I know it’s a bit out of whack because I have a bit of trouble fitting the lower side cowling on the bike.
What I am looking for are pictures of the stay so I compare it with mine to see where it needs straightening.
If you have any could you let me know?
Thanks again.

Re: After Picture of stay
I doubt a pic will show you a lot it's better to have a look and see if here's an area with rust or flaked paint at a joint. That's where they usually bend .... after that you can heat the area and persuade it back.
I did this with arms that go to the mirrors ... I don't have a mirror stay so nothing to go on, I just pulled and hit it a bit
there might be a pic on my photobucket account if you still have the link, but the subframe is black so it's difficult to see

@buzzawak since I'm checking my valves and have an electrical problem to take care of I removed pratically all fairings from my 3tj. I'll take a few pictures of my clocks/light stay and post them. Cheers.

Sorry I haven't uploaded those pictures yet, but Evil said 3EN and 3TJ stays are different, which is yours? Mine's a 3TJ. Cheers.
