are they some form of tie down point? they dont seem to stick far enough out to be protectors of any kind. what do they fix to? the rear subframe?

good point, never thought of transporting (race bike) never had to put it in a van, (yet)!!

went on a 500+ mile journey to the NW200 road race at the weekend! not a problem all weekend! plenty of fuel went through it!

didnt see another FZR400 there, plenty of admirers! seen a cbr 400 in the classic show! maybe thats where i should go next year!

oh Taggy, they are threaded, and are a bitch to loosen!, if they are not tight the back plastic section shakes about!

I thought they're for bungee cords to secure luggauge on to the top of the seat unit.

yes they are bungee hook points.
