If you do not like the smell of Castrol R then there is something wrong!
It had better not be rattly with a £600 plus engine build and 10 hrs running on it,mind saying that aircooled clutches make a bit of a noise. It lives in my storage shed out in the sticks as it attracts too much attention down here and space is short.Next time I go up I'll take a camera (just gone digital very recently from monotone; still a hick !) I swapped an RD 400 production racer for it in 1980.
The 750 L3 just wants the numberplate taken off to go on circuit, and the black Fzr I could change the rear subframe and seat on in an hour and its ready to pass scrutineering!

Lol great stuff, only joking about the tz I like 2 strokes as well, had an rd400 and sold 2 years ago a nice 350lc. Yes I guess the tz would attract attention, both good and bad and a photo when you get a chance would be great. My missus hails from Allendale not far from you.(still no gas up there!)

Plenty of gas in the Crown Inn at Catton on a Sunday night just two miles up the road. Its all pub brewed real ales in there and is reminiscent of the Blackadder sketch where horrendous demons break wind continously both night and day.

Lol her nana used to live about 100 yds down from the crown on the left hand side. That pubs changed hands a few times I think!. The pubs in Allendale have really died a death, her dad still lives there and has done all his life.

Let me know if you decide to sell the FZR1000 import :peace:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Will do but dont hold your breath, tend to hold onto things,
Its just sitting in the "dining room" on a charger being used as a clothes horse at the minute.(see 3en2 stripdown thread). As you know these are cheap to pick up local and if havent been down the road hard then new decals to cover scuffs, copied from original panels are reasonable at a good sticker specialist. If you take your time stripping off old decals and GET SHOP TO APPLY new you cannot lose.
Buy the best bike you can get-not what you can afford. Its miles cheaper!
A red box doth not a Snap On make.
