Race Gearing for Phillip Is.

Post by rustys » Mon Aug 27, 2012 8:55 am

I am looking at coming over for the "Is Classic" in January. Some help with some gearing would be a great help. I am racing a FZR400RR 3TJ-1 in the Post Classic Pre 89 F3 class, so will definatley need some taller gearing on the Is.
Cheers Russell

I've never ridden an fzr, but myself and others use stock gearing at the Island on our honda 400's (nc30's and nc29's) if that's any help.

You'll probably hit a max of around 210 km/h on the straight, should give you some idea of gearing.

Thanks Cammo, thats a good help. I race against VFR's over here and the FZR has a little more top end than the Honda. Thanks again.
