My old FZR - Owner on here?

Post by Phil Norton » Fri Feb 17, 2012 2:06 pm

Hiya,

Just interested if the owner of my old FZR400 happens to use the forum, as it was sold through here. It wasn't directly to a forum member, but a friend of one.

Reg - G 616 SGK.

I'm just intrigued as to whether it's still on the road and how the old girl is doing.

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

That's wierd. It was deffo an FZR for the 3.5 years I owned it and I bought it from a mate who'd owned it for a couple of years before that.

Prob just a database error I reckon.

aren't SRX's cheaper insurance and don't need a restriction as they only make 33hp in the first place ... cute bikes though, (note the monoshock)

Bit of an itch, yep. It's obviously in use looking at the insurance and tax databases, which is nice to know.

I thought I might ask for first refusal if it was ever to be sold. That bike was my 1st sportsbike, 1st trackday, 1st foreign trip, 1st lap of the Ring, 1st kneedown and so on..............

I only really sold it out of necessity, maybe it'll turn up for sale again one day, you never know.

Little bit of a rattle on the exup too. Never bothered me mind, a rattling exup can't seize!!

Unlike the R1 exup, which seized 3 times in 5 years and no longer exists.
