How many £££'s?

Post by oldgreg » Thu May 01, 2008 12:34 am

Hi all,

I've been having a look around online for t'cat and fzr600 motors... I know the price is going to fluctuate with age/milage but roughly what sort of money should i be expecting to find one at?

Not sure if i'm going to go ahead with the swap, just trying to work out how many £££'s would be reasonable for the lump.

Thanks,
Graeme.

you should get a pair of new pattern mirrors for about £30 inc postage.
I think thats what I paid for a pair of the round FZR1000 style for the Project

hell yeah ... I knew that damn damn :?

Um right. T'cat motors seem to come in at £99 for a jumps out of second gear or about £200-250 for an ok one.
If you then go to the breakers they're about £400

So I reckon look for a written off bike and break it.
I'm thinking along the same lines as you ... but not getting much joy either.

I live in the channel islands so its probably going to have to be a breakers job (writen off thundercats are like hens teeth in this neck of the woods). C'est la vie

Cheers evil.

Graeme.

Well I think it's probably best to look for something like a trackbike - I will have a running engine / carbs ? pipes & cdi the loom maybe butchered but they're relativly cheap on e-bay ... I think it's how I'll proceed when / if I get some money together.

Sounds like a plan. If i were on the mainland that'd definately the way i'd go too.

Do you know how that guy from the PB forum got on putting the foxeye 600 in his 3TJ? I'd like to see the finished result but the thread seems to stop before he finished the bike...

Maybe he's too busy riding it to write about it :D

Yeah, he's got it up and running, says it's sweet.

He's at the PB90's trackevening .... I guess it's unlikely you'll be around for that one huh ????

Y'know The Channel Islands have an advatage of being near ... ish to France. Couldn't you look for a T'Cat there ???
