Another exhaust issue for an nc29.

Had to purchase a new exhaust can and finally found and won one on the bay.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to slip onto the end of the downpipes like the last can did. It is also slightly smaller/stubbier in size. The last owner took it off his cbr400 nc29 and swears it was just fixed by the three bolts. Do I saw off the end of the downpipe?

Can anyone shed any light on what to do?

He will not allow me to return the item as he is off travelling. Downside of the bay!

Thanks,

What're the pipes diameters the exhaust engine holes? Are they 28mm?

Do you mean the diameter of the end of the downpipes that connects to the exhaust can?

No, I mean four pipes near engine exhaust hole. Looks like we have same bike here with pipes diameter 28mm (mine is 35mm). I think this pipes came from cbr250.

Will make my girl happy once its polished and in place, she's not a fan of her Honda system after seeing the Tyga and Beet systems on the other bikes I think she was feeling a little left out !

Does anyone on here have the capability or know anyone with the capability to manufacture and weld on a standard honda three bolt fitting flange to the pipe as I want to reuse the exsting can without messing with it !!
