What is the difference in performance between 4-2-1 and 4-1 pipes?

I have no statistics, but there is not big difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1.
4 into 1 system (with equal length headers) tuned to give optimum top end power at top range, 4-2-1 do same but for middle-range.

Yeah I thought the same when I saw the can, also suspect as it has an HRC sticker on it?

But rest of system looks just like the HRC system.

.

did anyone succesfully modify an exhaust system from another bike and fit in a NC29?

I just saw this yoshimura titanium system for CB400 on our local bike forum which is for sale, but im not pretty sure it will need some lot of modifications to make it fit on a NC29?

the system is 4-1 and not 4-2-1

Yep, that's not an hrc can (they're alloy skinned, mild steel inlet/outlet), but the rest of the system is I reckon.
