NC23 tall riders comfort

Post by John92 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 9:53 pm

Morning lads,

I just had a few queries for some of the taller riders out there. I am 6ft 1" (182cm) and I'm now using my NC23 daily. I have become used to slightly larger modern sportsbikes and I am finding the NC23 a little hard on my arms on occasion. It's by no means terrible and I'm fine riding it, but I do feel if I end up on any longer rides any time soon it may get a bit frustrating.

I am curious if any other taller riders have had much success in changing anything to make life easier for yourselves? I suspect there won't be too many answers for easy fixes and it may just be the case of big guy/little bike, but worth an ask :)

I am just a bit taller than yourself (6FT 4") and find mine really comfy...No pains in the wrist, back or neck! I thought I would find it uncomfortable comparing It to my Varadero 125 which I could only ride for 30 minutes before my back would ache! I have ridden mine for 2 hours straight without any discomfort

In my limited experience, iv found that the difference between discomfort and comfort come from strength in the lower back as whole. Iv heard this from experienced riders as well. Strengthening the lower back will help in all riding situations.

I have an NC29, I'm quite thin and my height is 5'9 (normal height), I'm 24 and after about 3 hours my butt is hurting badly lol and a little wrist tiredness, if you work out in the gym or at home it should go away lol.

Old thread but.......6'2" 12 stone, have lowered driver pegs an inch and raised seat approx 4". Standard springs, 15w fork oil and a little preload on front forks, and a stock 600f rear shock and really find it a)comfy to ride & b)handles and rides just fine -- actually on par with cbr6 and cbr9 that I also have.
