Identifying fork internals (RVF)

Post by viper_biker » Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:38 pm

Recently got myself some RVF fork with what I was told were Ohlins internals. Now if its not, I'm not too bothered as I'll fit Ricks kit anyway, but can anyone identify them? There are no markings on the adjusters, springs, valves or spacers, but the fork-tops are not standard looking. Can anyone help?

I guess no-one knows. Are RVF springs linear or progressive and how long is it, how many rings are there on the compression adjuster or how many clicks on the damping rod. This might help me a little.

Hi,
From the photos they look like standard fork internals to me. The springs look just like the ones in my workshop that we take out when up grading for race use. So, unless the valving has been changed then I'd say that they are stock.

Cheers Mike @ BMC Racing.
