Does the CBR400RR use the same cam as the CB400RR?
Curious to know if Honda changed the CBR400RR cams to be higher performance cams. If they are the same, then I am safe to use any CB400RR thru CBR400RR cam in my project bike.
Thanks.
Brian

Do you mean CB400 (NC31) vs CBR400rr (NC29)?
If so the nc29 cams are higher performance than NC31 and can be swapped, might need some other changes.
There's a cb400 racing in Oz that uses nc29 cams.

Thanks for the info and yes I was refering to the CB400 (NC31) vs the CBR400RR (NC29).
Just one follow up question here. What kind of performance differences are there between the two? Is it considerable or marginal?
Thanks.

I think you'll find that the power output is pretty similar, but the nc29 produces better power at higher revs (cams, compression, ignition, etc).bbanna wrote:Thanks for the info and yes I was refering to the CB400 (NC31) vs the CBR400RR (NC29).

Re: CAMS: CB400RR vs CBR400RR
you could never compare the 2 really in performance and handling..the cb that is racing here is heavily modified and is only just hanging onto stock nc23's and 29
summin to think about
