Dont really understand the point of it... the crankcase vents directly into the airbox through the rear cam cover.

Ask him where this would be mounted and the benefit. Otherwise it sounds like he doesnt really know what he is selling.

The point of it is so that you are not feeding hot and oily air back into your airbox...

I think all cbr 400/600/1000 has crankcase breather. In this case this thing is useless.

i cant see the pic as I am work but I use a second HRC overflow bottle as a breather bottle from my cam cover vent, the only reason I do this and didnt leave it feeeding back into my airbox is because I run Ramair

There is a very minor link between engine performance and the volume of the space that the crank case breathes into, but I doubt you would find a measurable difference even on a dyno. I beleive there is a thread on here about that somewhere.

There is no real 'use' for one of these except for racing where your crankcase must vent into a sealed container of at least 1 litre (from memory of Aussie regs).

Who's bike is that Parus? Very nice.

Interesting that the coil/s are mounted on the rear subframe.
