Leaking bleed nipples

Post by paasker » Tue May 20, 2008 11:25 am

Hi

My nc29 got leaking bleed nipples on the front two calipers. I must say i haven't seen that before. The fluid doesn't come out of the hles, but it comes up between the threads on the nipples and the calipers. Have tried to tighten the nipples but that didn't help.
Have anyone seen this before? And how the "beep" do I make it stop??

Kind regards
Martin

I have had it during bleeding. I put PTFE tape on the threads which fixed it.

If you have it happen during use - either the nipple or the seat is damaged - so new will be required. Or there might be a bit of debris on the seat - which will need to be fished out.
