Honda cbr 400 nc29 carburettor jetting

Post by eddie v twin » Tue Aug 03, 2021 8:19 pm

Hi guys and gals
Bit confused there's an ebay seller classic bike spares Brigg selling a carb kit which has 4 dynojet main jets size 108 and idle jets dynojet 35 too replace the standard Kehlin jets of 108 and 35.
But I noticed in the full dynojet kit the sizes for main jets are 112 or 116 mains ???, advice please
Thanks

What year is your NC29?

Pre 1994 should have 105 main jets, 1994 onwards 106 mains, both in standard form.

I'm guessing you have 108's which would suggest an aftermarket exhaust system.

The 112 and 116 main jets are for Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuning. Unless you're going down that route, I'd stick with 108's.
