Hi guys, so for past months i had couple of more issues with bike, i end up rebuilding carbs, front forks, exchanging spark plugs, some wires, jets, seals, orings and recently carb intake rubbers as well and i did some painting as well. It was a bloody mess, yesterday i manage to run it for first time after rebuild and it start and runs quite alright, carbs was balanced on desk. I'm gonna ride it/test it on weekend.
I was never work on bike before, and i found it really satisfying.

That top yoke looks pretty smart..all your own work?

Yup, modified clip-on's for some bmw, top yoke was blasted and repainted, nut polished, nut cover made from one used for furnitures, ignition switch cleaned, letters repainted, all wiring and cables replaced. New brake fluid reservoir. All bolts replaced or reconditioned. Everything on budget.

Bike is running great so far, now it's time to put it back together.
The only thing i notice is idle rpm, after warm up it's stay around 1.5k rpm, till i touch the throttle, then it won't drop down below 2k.

Your pilot mixture screws are too lean.

i had to take out carbs again, uncscrew pilot screw from 2 to 2.25 turns, idle is now perfect
double check on carbs sync [on bench] everything looks perfect [drill-bit-sync]
then i want to check it with carbtune and it looks like this:

so it looks like front carbs are way off, or something else is going on
help me here please, im new at this :)

ps i dont have 90 degree screwdriver ... and i really don't wan to spend 50 quid on that, wha't you guys recon, is there any way to mess with that bloody screw in other way ?

did anyone ever try to replace those screws with same cable like idle adjuster? :)

Hi there,
another update, after finish balancing carbs with home made 90 degree screwdriver bike went to dyno, without me [work] and came back with another issue. White smoke frome exhaust, and apparently its droping one cylinder as well, dyno chart says max power = 54HP, max torque 27Nm. After short spin around city i didnt notice any obvious issues but indeed is smoky like hell. So i have check few thing. Compresion is good [by good i mean around 150PSI after few second of turning],can't see signs of coolant in oil, coolant lvl is low but i have no idea if it was same before dyno, when running no signs of fumes in coolant [radiator], any idea what else i can check before taking that bloody engine out [...and i really don't want to to it - but i have new cylinder gaskets ready just in case].
