I Would agree sounds like the main kill switch or the neutral or stand kill switch.
this doesnt explain why the bike does spark. these systems would kill power to the coils, there is power at coils, the spark is just very weak thin and yellow

Or try another ignition unit.
Id love to, but they not really available, I have never even seen another NC35 in Johannesburg

Ive yet to see a single other one besides my own.. whereabouts are you from? you dont perhaps have another ECU I could try and at least eliminate mine as the problem.

I've got an RVF motor in a VFR chassis according to the engine and vin numbers. I suspect the wiring loom is VFR so not sure what the CDI is. I'm near Woodmead. Have a friend in Kempton who has 2 RVF's he purchased recently.

thanks, i am worried if I borrowed someone's ( who was kind enough ) ECU to try, I run the risk of frying theirs? Im so sick of this RVF lol

Ill keep trying though, when the motivation comes back.

I just dont know how else to rule out a faulty ECU without borrowing a known working one and seeing what happens when I plug it into my RVF harness

Plug your ECU into a running bike. No risk of frying their ECU.
