NC24 performance Air Filters, any available?

Post by Manticorp » Thu Dec 04, 2008 12:54 am

I've had a look on K&N website and they don't appear to do a standard fit Air Filter for the NC24

Does anyone have an idea where i can find an aftermarket air filter for the NC24? or whether the NC21 air filter is a direct replacement? :P

Thanks in advance for ur help :D

Quick hi-jack; if you could recommend a similar part for an NC30 too then I'd also be grateful :)

Thanks

K+N no longer stock them for the NC30 as the Honda item has shown to be every bit as good as the K+N item. There are a few K+N filters about (I have one in my '30) but I presume it's the same for the '24 but no available from them directly. A standard Honda filter is about £15-20.

You can buy a sheet of the performance filter material, and just replace you current filter element with some of that. I was going to do that but could't be bothered lol. Just got a standard one.

That would depend on what else you want to do to the bike, as perfomance filters might make it run lean, so you may need to adjust the mixture or even re-jet the carbs. Any advice I have had on this is to keep it standard if you want the good old honda reliability. but thats open for debate, que, experts. :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:

Hmm yeahh you're probably right, I've just heard a lot lately about people sticking K&N filters on they're bikes and finding them a dream come true.

In any case it doesn't hurt to know for the future! At least i got that link so now i can get a replacement mirror which i stupidly broke today!

Thanks guys for ur quick responses!
