The ticking noise becomes apparent when engine has warmed up so I wasn't really to fussed about it.
Although today I noticed a chirping noise from the same area (pot 3) at low speed in first gear whilst filtering and on and off the clutch.
Should I be worried?
I done the shims a couple of months ago and this pot was .1 to tight on inlet and exhaust

Re: Ticking and chirping
could it possibly be just a loose exhaust header nut, gasket blowing?

Re: Ticking and chirping
After a my recent overhaul I realised that I must have been running around with a lost nut on the exhaust connector so it can happen
Can you record the sound and post it?
