NC24 - Wiring loom routing

Post by Kurre86 » Sat Jun 04, 2016 9:33 pm

I bought an NC24 in pieces with a knackered engine a few weeks ago; I have since bought a second hand engine from Ebay and started putting it together. Most things are pretty self explanatory, but I could use a few hints on how to route the wiring loom in the bike... Is there anyone here who has pictures of his/her bike with tank and airbox off where I can see how the loom is supposed to be routed?

That would be perfect! So far, I'm not missing too many parts, but I miss enough that I wont be able to finish it off this weekend (despite monday being a national holiday...).
If you could snap a few pictures of the wiring loom (an maybe also the clutch cable, tank ventilation and expansion bottle coolant line) that would help massively!

I'm massively useless but I have a mechanically minded mate so I'll ask him what all those bits are, but I'll snap photos of everything for ya.

Any pictures will most likely help as I'm currently having to guess where everything goes (and there is not alot of space for things to go in the wrong place...)!

Yeah I bet! Only seen mine fully put together thus far but it all looks very cramped in there. And I'll just take pictures of absolutely everything and then you can work it out I guess :P

Got some pictures. If they're not what you need let me know and I'll take some more as it's going to remain in bits for the foreseeable future.

That's perfect! If you could snap a shot or two of the front of the frame, right hand side where the main loom (I assume) passes the airbox on its way up towards the steering head, that would probably cover it all for me I think.

Sure thing. Will be a few days or for certain next weekend until I'm next out where it's being stored currently, but I'll get some photos for sure.

That's fine, I'm still waiting for some parts for the carburettors, so it'll be a while before I'm ready to finish my giant jigsaw puzzle...
