I've found this this thread about cylinder re-lining of a vfr400. Has this ever been done?

My thread, did not proceed, too much money and risk that the result would be a disappointment. Will settle for a rebuild to oem standard when eventually needed, nothing like peace of mind from Honda engineering.

I see. Did you find a liner supplier?

Try google, Melling and LA Sleeve are two USA sources. An engineering shop capable of re-sleeving a cylinder could possibly be capable of manufacturing sleeves to fit.
