So my brother took my NC23 RRJ out for a test ride the other day, just to make sure it was running OK. He said that changing up to 4th and 5th was quite stiff and took a couple of attempts to get it in.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and what can I do to make the gear change a lot smoother.

Basic thing would be to check chain slack and possibly linkage for any tightening problems there, maybe wheel alignment is worth looking at. I suppose if no problems there it may be internal.
