Hi guys,
I'm trying to put a vfr400 Nc30 rear swing arm on my Honda cb400f 1975, cafe racer.
My question to the experts is at what angle is your rear shock? I'm trying keep the angle the same as on the vfr so the swing arm works as designed? If there is an easier ways to set the rear swing arm up please shout.
Thanks

The NC shock is pretty much straight up (vertical) which makes it a pain to fit into other bikes as 99% of bikes have a slight lean on the shock.
Because the shock fits through a hole in the swing arm you have to fit it this way and problems arise trying to get the top mount far enough back.
The reason its like this is because the V twin motor needs to fit in where flat 4's don't.

I'm waiting on a suspension dog to arrive as I got given one off a yamaha, but once that arrives I should have a better pic of where the mount should go.
I have my front end rack angle at 25 degrees and now need to tackle the rear, any advise?

curious to why you chose a pro-arm?
From the same era i'd have gone with an MC21 / NC29 gullarm type swinger.

Got the swing arm and rims free from a scrap yard here by me, that dog bone is giving me issues to find.

it looks like you have an nc24 rear shock on it though and not an nc30 shock...
cant make it out in the pictures but they are not the same
