Hi all, I was wondering if anyone referbs there own caliper Pistons and how they go about it? Was thinking if it's ok to sand rust away then get them re plated? This would work out much cheaper than buying all new Pistons.
Thanks in advance

Re: Brake caliper piston referb
Dont sand..........
I have always used a fine scotch pad to take away most of the crud on my pistons and then if there is any small stubborn bits I use 1500 grit wet and dry wet.
If they are too far gone chuck them out..... but really most ive encountered are perfectly reusable
