Nc30 clip on position/raise

Hi, wanting to see if I can raise the bars on the nc30 slightly - I reckon an inch or 2 max
Two questions - 1. Can the stock clipons be mounted on top of the top yoke by dropping the position of the top yoke to where the clip ones attach now?
Or failing that do the 2inch sv650s risers on eBay fit the nc30 throttles etc (ie I can mount those and transfer everything across. I've read a couple posts that say sv650 clip ons fit the forks, just can't see anything about bar diameter and moving controls across. I reckon 2 inches would still allow the steering enough room to not hit the fairing, or I can put something on the stopper at worst
Another one - is it pretty easy to straighten up the wheel to top yoke alignment (given forks and yokes are straight)?as my yoke is slightly off to the right just enough that a bolt from the brake lever mount touches the fairing screen brace:-) annoys me!

If your triples and wheel is not aligned then somthing must be bent?

Google tells be either bent or not aligned correctly in the clamp - wondering whether anyone has tried to loosen the clamp then straighten with the wheel up against a post.
Any ideas on the bars?

Hi, yeah I've got sv650 bars on my nc30, theres a thread on here with pics of them fitted, work very well just take tope yoke off and swap over, tho you'll have to chop the locating dowels of the switchgear if there still on, or drill the bars.

I haven't riden far with the bars on yet (just round the block), they help loads with the riding position but I can only afford to run the klr at the mo so me nc30 still hibernating................
Cheers

Thanks for that! Tried a search but didn't see that :-). Have you thought of or tried relocating the standard bars on top of the top yoke? Would that be possible?

They have a pin which locates into the bottom of the yoke to prevent them turning / slipping if the pinch bolts cane loose. .. putting them on top would stop the pin from locating. .. Not a major issue if the pinch bolts are tight but I would hate to hop on the brakes and a clip on legs go and rotates. .. It would throw your weight onto the other clip on which would turn the bike and the result would probably have you lying on the ground. I wouldn't do it

Ahh good to know! Do aftermarket and the sv650 clip ons all have that pin?

Yeah they appear to be rather important, hence my wonder as to whether they are present on the aftermarket ones :-)

I don't think you can put them on top of the yokes, the sv clip-ons are mega close to the fairing stay fitted under the yoke, would hit everything fitted on top of the yoke, and I think if you drop the forks through the yokes that far the wheel will hit the rad.
The locating pin is in a slightly different position on the sv bars, But just make sure the done up, I think the locater is just to make assembly easier at the factory and an extra safety device.
Most aftermarket clip-ons don't have locating pins, and its never a problem on a race bike.........
