Did I get the wrong indicator relay?

Post by JamieDemos » Sat May 24, 2014 8:58 pm

Okay so the guy at the shop sold me the indicator relay and said that its the correct one but after removing the old one the pins seem to be different? Is it the wrong one or am I missing something? Its for a nc30

The one at the top is the original relay.

NC30 Japanese market should be 3 pin, 2 x 15w, UK bikes 2 x 23w.

I bought a 2 pin electronic relay for another bike that needed a 15w unit, but could only find a 23w one.
It works OK, so it seems like the latest electronic ones cover a wider range of wattage [current flow]

Electronic flasher relays are not affected by load unlike the older electro magnetic units.

Yep, I bought some cheap (2 quid each) chinese ones.. they will handle anything from 0.1 - 50w!

Even had a hybrid setup with led bulbs in the rear and standard filmants in the front. not like the old mechanical ones that needed to be balanceed.

i tend to use em on everything now.

that one you have should work but youll need to chance the plug
