Rear shocks

Post by GeorgeB » Tue May 20, 2014 3:09 pm

Hi all,

I've been lurking for a while but have only just come to post here. The OEM (I think) Left hand rear shock on my 1994 CB400SF has given up, and needs replacing for MOT. I can't find any identicle ones on ebay, although I've found a new set on ebay for around £60, but they don't have the resevoir on the back.

Does anyone know if there any other bikes that I can recycle the rear shocks off, that will literally bolt straight on? I would link to the set I found on ebay but I'm in work.

Cheers!

had the same problem on my 93 sf. OEM's cost a fortune and only found tatty ones on ebay. I ended up fitting TEC BRAND shocks heard they are supposed to be decent for the price.

I'm due to fit a set of Hagon 2810's to my SF this coming week- £200 direct and quality looks good for the money, plus the springs are set for my weight. Sadly they don't have the piggyback reservoir, but that's purely aesthetic to me.

Will let you know how I get on with it once the melted spark plug issue is resolved.
