NC30 Front Brake Master Cylinder

afternoon all,
so i thought i'd give my front brake master cylinder an overhaul, as i'm sure it hasn't been taken care of before in its life.
I'd read a bit around the subject, and i understood that some NC30's have a Nissin 5/8" m/c, and some have a 14mm - owing apparently to Honda changing their minds in the 90's. Knowing that the m/c is not bike specific, i was going to go for a 93-98 CBR900 blade rebuild kit as they are the same m/c.
before ordering anything, i just decided to go and check the front m/c for any markings on them that would give away what they are. Whilst it certainly is Nissin, it has a stamp on it that says "2C" - which i wasn't expecting
does anyone know what "2C" means, and does anyone else have that stamp on their m/c's, or am i just special like my mum always told me i was?!
