Clocks upper case question

Hi all,

The following pics show the clocks upper case from a cbr400.

The question is , Does anyone know what is the purpose of the small yellow part on the high beams indicator?

This is something that did not exist on the nc35 clocks upper case.

The other dash warning lamp opals are not plain like the main beam warning light, so will show up in daylight.
The yellow part of the lens will show up in daylight [for those riding with lights on] the blue would be too distracting at night if too bright as it may be lit for long periods, unlike the other warning lights.

Just guessing.
