Help needed!

Hey guys, ive had this issue with my Nc29 (1991) now for some time and its something i just cant figure out!

Ok, so im riding on a normal day, bike works and rides perfectly, sits at around 1400 idol and smooth through every gear.. on a raining day, thats where the problem starts. The bike cuts out every time i stop at a junction, and or slowing for on-coming traffic..

Ive replaced the reg rec, the battery holds charge, its earthed correctly, the sparks have been changed, ive checked all possible electrical connections for faults, ive checked all out puts of ohms on all electrical systems.. all is fine. The generator is fine, ive checked it. The only thing ive changed recent is the headlight bulbs.. because the stock ones were pants so i have h4 55w now but that shouldnt make a difference (so im told).. Ive also checked the carbs, cleaned the fule lines, drained the tank for any crud and made sure the fuel pump works! all fine.

If i leave the choke on the bike doesnt cut out, if i come up to a junction and kill the lights the bike doesnt cut out.. arrrrrgh.. if i had hair id be pulling it out!! ;)

If someone has any idea, or think i have missed something.. please get in contact!

Cheers dudes...

I had a similar issue, it only seemed to happen in the rain.
It turned out to be the fuel tank breather, the one through the fuel cap.
Water would block it and create a vacuum leading to fuel starvation.
Well worth checking to see if there is a sucking sound when you open the fuel cap, or if it runs happily with the fuel cap open.(Best done at a standstill)

Thanks for the reply,

Forgot to mention that id checked the fuel tank breather hole, no blockages.. but i havent checked what youve said above during a good ol british down-poor! I will say, i do have a race fuel filler cap fitted, so water may be getting in there, there is no seal, just the tread!
