Starter Problem
Hi all,had a bit of a issue with my NC24 today .Set out this morning and the bike starts fine,so head off to get some petrol turned the bike off and filled up then as I start the bike again the bike starts to run but the starter motor keeps on turning.so I turn the ignition off and it keeps on turning over..it eventualy runs the battery down.I left it for a while and bump started it,got it home and turned it off and it seems ok ..Anyone any idea`s what could have caused this...............Thanks ...Steve

Re: Starter Problem
Sounds like the starter solenoid could be stuck closed, or something has shorted it out. Check to see if it's moved and its contacts have jammed against something metal.

Re: Starter Problem
sticking start soledoing proably.. tap that little metal can and see what happens.
cheap enough to replace, easy too, only two bolt on wires and a plug..
can burn the start moter out if it cranks too long.. if it hasnt burned out already...

Re: Starter Problem
Ok.i have replaced the starter solenoid and just worked out that the one`s off ebay have to be mounted the other way round to the original nc24 starter..The problem I have now is that the 4 wire`s that go into plug on the solenoid have come out of the plastic plug and I don`t know what way they go back in .Anyone know?..Thanks.Steve
