Im a few hours into reframing my NC30. No fancy stands or anything like that.
Just axal stands and a jack.
Its all stipped down now. Just frame forks engine swing arm and wheels.
Is it best to drop the engine out while the wheels ect are on and then strip it from there.
Or option 2 rear pegs on axal stands and come up with somthink for the front end, wheels forks swingarm off.
Sit frame and engine on somthink so its sitting on the engine its self. unbolt and lift the frame off the top of the engine.
Also I would like to do all this without spilting the chain if possible (no chain riveter or master link yet)
Take the engine out of the frame or the frame off the engine

Re: Take the engine out of the frame or the frame off the en
If i am doing this on my own, i get the exhaust off, take front and rear wheels off lower one end at a time so the bike is sitting on the sump,
then undo all engine bolts, put a roses tin lid under the front forks (makes it slide better)
then lift the rear and slid it forward and to the side. Job Jobbed
Also undo the front sprocket and get the chain out of the way then you wont have to split it.

Interesting idea.
By myself I usually put a house brick each side of the front wheel so it cant move and chock the rear with a brick too.
Using a trolly jack and a block of wood undo the engine and lower it down.
Once its out I put the bike on its side and get the forks / swingarm out.
