The left brake light went out on the RVF400 and I found a modified replacement LED from Japan. This is the one with the square LED pattern with a row of LED's for the license plate light. This one also has a single 3 wire cord with a ROUND connector, not the square 4 pin female connector.
Any thoughts on how to re-wire with the correct connector? Should I just get an OEM replacement?

Those Japanese led lights do look good, but not cheap once they've landed at your door.
Not so elegant, but I use cheap led globes off ebay and they work fine, similar to this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-36-LED-B ... fdf&_uhb=1
