Afternoon.
Heading out to look at an engine from a breakers yard tomorrow for my nc30. Aside from checking the engine mount lugs and general condition can anyone tell me if there are any specific problems or parts I specifically need to check? I've been assured its a running lump and I've negotiated a reasonable warranty should I purchase but just wondered if there were any golden rules I needed to follow.
Thanks
Paul.

Re: New (used) engine query
Check exhaust studs, check the genny plug which are usually melted an look for limescale buildup by cooling system pipe outlets, be good idea to maybe check that the engine rotates and if you have a compression tester take and test
