Hello, I am currently doing up a 1989 Honda nc23 CBR 400 hurricane. I have a problem with getting it started. There is no spark at all. I have checked wiring and all seems to be in check. Have not multimetered anything yet though. I am just wondering if there is a common problem that may cause this? I have heard today of a friend that the sidestand switch can cause it not to spark, is this true? Also I am having a massive problem that I cannot get the bloody spark plugs out...I feel really stupid lol.

thanks
leon

PRetty sure they don't have sidestand switches. At least my pair didn't. Does everything else work? Is the battery good? Are you sure the battery is good?

Kill switch? These bikes are different to most and let you crank all day long even with it pressed (or broken)

Are you sure its sparking if you can't get the spark plus out to Check?

What are you struggling with in regards to removing them. I used to use 2 or three 3" extensions dropping them down one at a time in order to make life easier access wise.
