Brief history, had the bike rvf think its an rt ( yellow rvf on the panels) since 09, has been in bits tried to do a cbr rear end change but couldn't be arsed in the end so got a tyga kit all fitted. Carbs off cleaned and set back up, new plugs, took it for a MOT started fine and ran like a dream, week late took ages to start and only feels like its running on a couple of cylinders really rough as when the throttle is cracked open the engine dies. Its had new fuel in it, plug caps off and getting a spark on all cylinders. The only thing i can think it might be is a blocked jet because i didn't clean the tank out. So any pointers ???????
Cheers Jase

Re: Couple of pointer required.
Sounds like you may have an air leak, make sure the carbs are seated properly after being removed for cleaning, make sure the rubbers are in good order & not brittle & cracked, it could be a blocked jet but I think it's unlikely if the carbs have been cleaned, or maybe a problem with the fuel tap, have you modified it to be gravity feed or is it still vacume? Check for air leak first mate as it sounds like that could be the problem. Hope this helps.

I'm guessing you mean the hrc fuel tap mod? If it's a road bike i wouldnt do this unless your very good at turnung the fuel tap off every time you park up, otherwise if you've got a slighty iffy needle valve in one of your carbs you'll stand the chance of getting petrol in your oil and a big bill for a engine rebuild shortley afterwards.
Cheers

Ah good point Ian, last thing i want is hydraulic lock as well. So i think carbs off and new rubbers, is it a good idea to smear oil around the edges to aid sealing?
