brake light pressure switch - Thread pitch

Post by EsKee » Wed Jul 10, 2013 5:40 pm

Does anybody know of the top of their head, the diameter and pitch of the banjo bolt in the rear brake master cylinder ?? I need a new pressure switch for the rear brake light but cant remember what thread it is ?? Don't wanna have to take it apart and get brake fluid everywhere just to measure it . . . then have to bleed it out so i can use it until the new one turns up . . .

I *think* they're M12 x 1.25.

I say this on the basis that i went to recut the thread on a damaged front M/C a while ago and i remember that my tap/die kit only had an M12 x 1.5 tap which was the wrong one, so i wouldn't take it as 100% gospel.

I don't know if you can get K&S over there, but if you can, stay away from them. I've put 2 of them on 2 bikes within the last couple of years and both have failed. I've had great luck with Goodridge...
