Removing Rick O GSXR genny conv??
Hi All,
I am currently running the RO GSXR genny conversion, but want to try running total loss to see if it makes much difference.
My question is;
How do you remove the Gixer flywheel? The standard one uses the large bolt but that wont work with the gixer flywheel.
Anyone done this?
Cheers

I have removed one mate and pretty sure I didn't use any special tools as I don't think I had any at the time. Sorry that's not much help it was a while back and I can't remember the exact procedure but I'm sure you won't struggle with it.

Cheers mate,
Didn't want to start and find it was more tricky than expected.
On a slight side note, what was the light weight battery you ran on your bike?
Cheers

I've got a special tool to remove them, if you have any difficulty let me know and I will post it to you.

It was a horsten durbahn battery, A123 LiFePower Pack 2.3 Ah Supermoto/400ccskinnydog0_0 wrote:Cheers mate,

I never tried it with no charging system though as the chargers for these batterys were silly expensive although ive since been told these lightweight batterys (maybe not the durbahn ones) charge fine on a normal charger. I think if i were to get another id go for one of the "Racing battery" branded ones and mount it up front behind the clocks.

You can buy a Suzuki GSXR external threaded flywheel puller. Check out eBay for the correct year. Check the link out for what I used...

you can use dewalt (other brands are available) drill batteries and there 1hr charges it does involve dismantling the batteries and making adaptors for the chargers but a cheaper way to go and fast charging

Now then people - I am taking my gear of my old dead no9 motor to fit to my new no9 motor and I now need one of these sodding pullers...
Anyone got a link to a bargainous one? Or would even fancy pinging me theirs in the post for a quick use of and return?
