Nitron race shock settings????

Hi there, hoping someone can offer some guidance on the settings for a Nitron 3 way adjustable racing shock?
I have just managed to purchase a second hand Nitron 3 way race shock for my 1992 NC30. Due to finances my intention is to run the shock for a year till winter then send it off to Nitron for a service and replacement res hose (this has a damaged outer hose).
In the mean time I was wondering if anyone had a base point I could start from for the settings for the high and low speed compression and the damping?
Also I know the NC 30 corners much better when sitting about 30mm higher (was looking at getting one of Ricks jack up kits till I came across this shock) does anyone have an eye to eye measurement for an after market shock as it's nice and easy to adjust while it's on my bench.
I weigh about 13 stone with all my gear on and I have a 725 lb spring fitted to the shock. Is this spring ok or should I look to change that as well in the winter? I can always try and loose a few lbs for the summer.
Many thanks for any advice on this, this is a great forum and has helped me loads over the last 7 years of opening my NC.
Regards
Gareth
